We love Kenya because the country has it all \u2013 from beautiful landscapes, safari, amazing beaches and much more!<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Kenya is known as one of the world\u2019s greatest tourism and expats destinations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you are one of those that need to move to Kenya and you have a pet, it is important to become fully familiar with all the import requirements before <strong>relocating to Kenya with a pet<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The guide below has all the information needed for <strong>bringing pets to Kenya<\/strong>. This is of course only relevant if the booster was given while the previous vaccine was still valid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Puppies and kittens that are aged 3 months and less, will be allowed to enter Kenya based on the mother\u2019s vaccination records, provided that they are valid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Not more than 48 hours before your pet\u2019s flight, you should treat your pet against internal and external parasites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The following aren\u2019t mandatory, but we recommend pet owner\u2019s do so before bringing pets to Kenya:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you have a dog, we recommend you vaccinate your dog against DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you have a cat, we recommend you vaccinate your cat against FVRCP (Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Rabies Antibody Blood Test<\/span><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"375\" height=\"250\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15842 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pets2fly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rabies-Titer-Test.jpg\" alt=\"Blood serums for Rabies Titer Test\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pets2fly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rabies-Titer-Test.jpg 375w, https:\/\/www.pets2fly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rabies-Titer-Test-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pets2fly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rabies-Titer-Test-219x146.jpg 219w, https:\/\/www.pets2fly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rabies-Titer-Test-50x33.jpg 50w, https:\/\/www.pets2fly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Rabies-Titer-Test-113x75.jpg 113w\" sizes=\"(max-width:767px) 375px, 375px\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The rabies antibody blood test isn\u2019t needed (yet) to import a dog or cat into Kenya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Even though this isn\u2019t one of the import requirements, we still recommend you get this test done before bringing your pets to Kenya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We recommend this because:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol dir=\"ltr\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It seems like this will soon be one of the import requirements as it is stated, for some reason, in the import permit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is good to have for future travels.
