Why Hire Pets2Fly?

Pets2Fly can provide easy solutions for your pets to travel internationally. If you want to travel with your pets or want your pets to travel alone, you need to make sure that you are following the laws and regulations of the country of origin, the destination and the airline company. We can assist you with everything related to your pets’ travel. We will make sure that your pets receive the highest level of care whether they are flying in cabin, as excess baggage or as cargo shipments.

What Documents Will My Pets Need?

This is not an easy question to answer. Actually, there isn’t one answer. Certain documents are needed to leave one country while others are needed to enter the destination. Furthermore, each airline company has different rules and requires different documents. Taking all this in account means that you might need quite a few documents ranging from 2-20. Getting all these documents and filling them properly can be exceptionally difficult. Pets2Fly can assist you with getting the proper paperwork and filling it in correctly. We have the knowledge of more than 200 countries and our expertise keeps growing and is always up to date.

What Kind Of Pets Do You Ship?

We have experience with many household pets but we mainly ship dogs and cats. Our charges may vary by what kind of pet you need to ship and where you are travelling to. Please contact us directly to receive a free quote.

Can My Pet Travel With Me In Cabin?

Most airline companies will allow you to bring 1 pet with you in cabin, pending certain restrictions. Usually only dogs and cats are allowed in cabin but there are some airline companies that will accept birds and ferrets as well. For a pet to fly in cabin it must be within the weight limit and the approved flight carrier must fit under the seat in front of you. Please keep in mind that there are some countries that only allow pets to arrive as cargo shipments. Therefore, pets flying to such countries won’t be permitted to fly in cabin or even as excess baggage.

Is It True That There Are Summer/Winter Embargoes?

Yes, this is totally true. There are certain airline companies that won’t accept pets as checked baggage during extremely hot or cold periods. These embargoes are for the safety of your pets. We highly recommend not booking your flight tickets before contacting us. By contacting us in advance, our team will surely be able to save you time and money.

Should I Sedate My Pet Before The Flight?

Sedation is known to be the number one cause of death when travelling with pets (we think this says enough). Please keep in mind that most airlines won’t accept pets that have been sedated.

Do You Rent Flight Crates?

We are very sorry but we don’t rent pet travel crates. There isn’t a pet transport company that does this. The reason is very simple – once you leave the country, how can we be sure that the crate will return to us? Sending it back will cost you more than just purchasing the crate. However, if available, we can offer you used flight crates which are much cheaper. You may even purchase a flight crate from us and we will be happy to offer you up to 50% of your purchased price whenever you will return to Israel. Even if the crate was purchased somewhere else, feel free to contact us and we will give you an offer.

Can I Ship My Pets By Myself?

Yes you can. You don’t need a pet shipping company to assist you to transport your pets. However, there are some airline companies that will only accept pets from a professional pet shipper. Even if you don’t become our client, we highly recommended you use a pet shipping company as this is their expertise.

How Long Does It Take To Prepare My Pets For Travel?

To answer this question, it is important to know your destination. Travelling to some countries could take 1 month. Others could take 3-4 months or even half a year. Why does it take so long? Many countries demand a waiting period after certain blood tests are done. Mostly, these waiting periods can’t be shortened. Contact Pets2Fly in advance and we will help you understand the requirements of your destination and, if possible, request permission to shorten the process.

What Size Crate Will My Pet Need To Fly With?

In general, your pet will need to be able to sit, stand and turn around freely inside the flight crate. Please keep in mind that there are many more requirements and that each airline has its own rules. We recommend you see our Airline Approved Pet Crates page or contact us for assistance.

Do You Sell Puppies?

We can help you find the puppy that you are looking for. Our main goal is to assist you with the bureaucracy of shipping pets to and from Israel.

Should I Feed My Pets On The Day Of The Flight?

We advise to feed your pets anywhere between 4-6 hours before your departure time, thus minimizing the risk of nausea and vomiting. It is also recommended to give minimal water to avoid full bladders.

Can We Book Our Flight Tickets Through Pets2Fly?

Pets2Fly is a travel agency for pets. We can only book your pets’ flight tickets. In order for this to happen, it must be done simultaneously to your booking, unless your pet is flying as cargo. If your pet will fly as cargo, your flight ticket is not linked to your pet’s shipment and therefore, it will be possible.
